Across The Pond
As we glide, or sweat, our way into August, there are a lot of galleries that will be keeping the same show up through the month, or perhaps even taking their vacations.
So now is a GREAT time to check out our gallery listings on the RESOURCE page and check out whats out there before you leave the air conditioning.
Now if you happen to be going to/ or live in London, there is a very cool show at the Tate Modern : UBS Openings: Photography From The UBS Art Collection
Until 26 November

Now the show is “Primarily focusing on realist work produced during the 1990s, when photography became widely accepted as an art form of equal status to painting or sculpture.”
Well we don’t quite buy that. Perhaps its when the collecting market exploded and the prices started to rachet up. Hence the “widely accepted” .
Whatever your viewpoint it looks great and you should check it out especially if you have never seen an Andreas Gursky massive image in person. Awesome.
And make time for the Atlas Gallery..Modern limited Edition and Vintage prints. A well put together, clever site that you can trip around in for awhile.
49 Dorset St. in London.
Listed on their site is an online exhibition from Magnum photographers.
So if your staying indoors, click around and take a look.
We hope you are also outdoors capturing a bit of the summer on film, digital media, etc.
And we look foward to seeing some of the imagery by Labor Day. Lots of life going on, and we can hear the cameras clicking.
Enjoy!
