Now where are we going?

We are constantly looking for ways to bring you not only the latest gallery offerings, product reviews, resources, reader gallery, and general photo news, but also where is the medium going? Are there some new ways to learn and interact and create images that you want to see?

Today we’re going to add a unique video that is a short movie of a woman who took one picture a day of herself for 3 years.

YouTube

Now there are also some podcasts that are available, although if its not a video podcast we think it is good, but not quite there.

The quality isn’t quite there yet on most. When you download to view on an IPOD the small screen is ok, but not necessarily for teaching or showing you photoshop examples. When you screen them large ,most programs are a bit pixelated.

We are getting there. Broadband will be everywhere. And we’ll be there with you.

Currently slogging through the almost 120 available, we’ll report back in with our faves. Some programs have already made the hit list.

Let us know what you think about this video. Hit the comments link and give your opinion.

When we saw it we knew we had to share. Just for the sheer gestalt of the whole thing: the concept, shared on youtube, brought over and shared to you here. new ways of speaking with each other with the still image, encased in video, in what we feel is a very creative way. Sure ,there are personal snapshot slide shows on that site that are actually fun to watch (what we call vernacular photography) but this used the medium in a special way.

Happy Friday!
