Of all the p&s cameras I sell over the counter, none has such fierce loyalty (and passionate discussion) as the G9 & G10. See the attached post I put up on Lightstalkers ( a great site for photojounalists and other photographers) last September...

As for what this bad boy can do, I was convinced when a photographer showed me an ENTIRE spread he shot with a G9 for Italian Vogue (And it wasn\'t Terry Richardson!) It looked great!!!

[...] The fine folks at Photoinduced review the Canon Powershot G10, the flagship point and shoot, that is built like a tank, but unfortunately also weighs as much as one: Here is our only concern- the weight of this camera is way too much to make it the one you want to toss in your jacket. Maybe a bag or for the women, your purse, but at 13 oz. it is a solid brick of a camera. [...]

I must say that while I don\'t have the G10, I have the G9 and love it. I keep it in my purse at all times, so in that sense it lives with me like a point and shoot, but I mostly shoot on manual and in RAW. The latitude this allows me is remarkable.
