Personally I travel everywhere with this. Titanium finish legs, ball head (very adjustable) folds flat, carrying case. Folds to less than 1″ thick (5″ x 1.5″ x 0.9″)

Thanks for the minipod. It will be alot better than putting my camera in the dirt to steady it. If the plastic head lasts it should be a great help. The only thing I need now is a right angle vew finder for my Canon EOS ELAN 7E, to save my back and knees!
