Hmmm…not sure about a window and bouncing, honestly. If you are holding on to it perhaps. It does help if is has something to wrap around and a window may be too slippery. If the window is down and it is on the door edge half in and half out perhaps, but I would make sure to try it at a safe, slower speed first. Someone is sending me a new product this week that clamps onto cars and airplanes, which may be more of what you are looking for.
The flash mount is genius. Simple and works.

Yes, I have wondered about these guys, and am glad to here that they are quite rugged for their size. A month ago I was bouncing down the road shooting out a side window and wondered how the GPod would have done holding the camera to the window edge for steadier shots. Will get one shortly and find out.

Especially like the idea of holding a remote flash to get more natural lighting

Wow! I am amazed that it could support the weight on that HD camera – that is shocking! I have been hesitant to trust my dslr with them, but it looks like the midrange one would probably cut it.

They are pretty cool. I now travel with 2 sizes. Seriously, going abroad with a trimmed gear list, these are easy to stash and get the job done.

I have been thinking about buying a Gorillapod for the last couple of months and this review rocks. Only problem, Joby won’t sell the ball head/ SLR combo on-line.

These look pretty handy, and at a good price with the discount. I think i’m going to pick one up to try it out and hopefully add 2-3 more if I like it and find a good use for them.
