Weekly Giveaway – Gary Fong Lightsphere V3: This time it folds

We always dig giving something away here, that we use on a regular basis.
The Gary Fong Lightsphere.
It usually sparks comments from folks who are not familiar as they always say it looks like a food container.
Personally, we don’t care what it looks like, because it delivers exactly the kind of light from a speedlight we like.
3-way_comparison_web-1

LSC_on_flash_w_inverteddome-2We have used all 3 generations, and it has always been part of any event shoot we covered.
However on our last trip, it seemed a bit too bulky to pack, so we went to a standby diffuser for the head of the speedlight. Still works, but you didn’t get the spread nor the full softness.
That’s why we were pretty happy at PhotoPlus Expo when Gary was introducing his new collapsible version. Uses all of the same dome and light doublers as the other versions.
But it now folds pretty compactly. we picked one up and used it on the next shoot the following week.

For a lot more on this, and a vid to explain it all, just click here, or scroll down the page.

And we have one of these to give away, the unit with a white dome, but you have to be a subscriber to the free NEWSLETTER to be eligible. Sign up is at the top of this page.
All the details on getting this sent to your studio, will be included in this weeks newsletter.
It comes out very Weds., at 9:00AM PST, and not only will it give the details on getting the LightSphere, it also has some other photo news for you, all in one quick email package.
Of course, if you follow us on Twitter, or check the Latest News at the top of the page (same Twitter feed) we’ll do our best to keep you updated on the latest news in the world of photography.

This is how the giveaway works: In the email/newsletter, you will get a question to answer, and we’ll point you in the right direction to get that answer. Usually it’s one word.
Place that word into the subject line of your reply email. Add a shipping address, and it’s all a numbers game after that.
We pick a number that has some significance, and that number reply get’s the item of the week.
Crazy easy, right?

We just want to have our most dedicated readers be recognized, rewarded, and honestly, we get to find out what you like the most.
