ThinkTank Photo Helps the Transition With New Multimedia bags

Are you ready to give multimedia a shot? You know, are you a still photographer adding motion and sound into your mix ?
Assignment shooters are coming into a time where they are being required to do just that.
Lets, see…. you’ll need some microphones, a digital audio, recorder, good headphones, you DSLR, and a way to carry it all.
Sure you can throw it all into a backpack, but trust us, you may not find exactly what you need, when you need it.

Like all good camera bags, you need one that makes this whole new world of cross platform, easier to deal with, at least on a gear level.
ThinkTank photo, honestly one of our favorite camera bag companies, came out with a series of bags in a MultiMedia line, that we truly understood more, once we saw it demo’d in person.
With either a belt component system ( while your working) or a bag system (while you’re transporting, or being stealth while working) they give you some well though out solutions.

Here’s Deanne Fitzmaurice, one of the founders, and a Pulitzer Prize winner photographer, to give you a tour.

A few of the things that were not mentioned are the ability to cable in through ports in the bag so you can always be wired and ready, and a harness set-up for working even more easily out in front of you, with great support via, shoulder, cross strapped back, AND belt if you like.
We’ve been using the system for a few months now and found that the modules are good for a lot of things.
We use the large recorder pouch for a Smallhd monitor, for instance. Our digital recorder fits great in the small pouch.
The mic drop pouch is best without the windscreen on the mic, though. We pulled the mic up a coupla times, and the fuzzy cat windscreen was still in the pouch. Small matter, as we use a small foam windscreen mostly, and that works fine in and out of the pouch.
Honestly, there are so many ways to configure the Wired Up bag, we’ve taken it to a regular shoot and it held all we needed.
And we truly do dig the headphone hook. Worked like crazy for us on the last shoot.
If you are making that still>video move, you have to check out these bags.

Coming soon is Part 2 with Deanne Fitzmaurice, as she gives us her insight on the changing times in photojournalism.
