We like to post competition news as early as we can but, things do slip by us now and again. Time to gather your thoughts and work and get ready to show the world.

Here is one from Australia that has a deadline of March 16th.

Head On, now the nation’s major showcase for Australian portrait photography opens on 19 April at the Australian Centre for Photography.

Since its inception three years ago, the show has undergone exponential growth and has established itself as one of Australia’s major photographic portrait exhibitions, described as ‘the better alternative to the Archibald’.

Founded in 2004, Head On is an independent national photographic portrait competition. It now boasts sponsorship from industry leaders such as Canon and Adobe.

Call for Entries Deadline 16 March 2007.

Show opens 19 April 2007 at the Australian Centre for Photography, 257 Oxford Street, Paddington, Sydney
Daylesford Biennale, Victoria, 2 June – 1 July 2007.
