Weekly Giveaway – Let’s hit the PLAY button.

This week we’re going to the movies again.

You would be surprised, (I think) at the number of movies that feature a photographer as protagonist or perhaps key character. How many can you name?

This week we’ll be giving away a pretty good selection of movies, and as promised, we have a couple of copies of FUR for you. Take a look at the trailer on our video page. And by the way, the video page is about to be revised very soon. We’ve been looking at the roughs and we think you’ll be much happier.
Come back on Weds. and we’ll let you know the rest of the giveaway selections.
Remember : we’ll tell what you can get for free here, but you have to be on our email list to actually win. So sign up for our NEWSLETTER list on the top right of the home page. On Weds. an email will be sent to you with the details.

And if you read this far, we just saw something in the Sunday paper: CVS Pharmacy Photo Centers are having Digital Sundays in 2007. From 12-2PM every Sunday they will have free digital workshops.

I think this tells the photo industry that at least one retailer knows that the transition to digital for a lot of folks may not be as seamless as hoped. very smart move .

So this Sunday, we’d like to give a shout out to CVS for helping folks take better pictures. Camera manufacturers, are you listening?
And for those of you in other countries, do you think your local photofinisher could add a service like this?

Cheers!
Damon Webster
