54th Cannes Lions – And in a flash, it was over.

The advertising world celebrated for one last time last night at the final awards ceremony at the 54th Cannes Lions. Ended a full week of screenings,viewings,seminars, workshops, 4 hour dinners, and camaraderie, the fireworks show in front of the Carlton Hotel signaled the end of the festival.

took Agency Network of the Year, Saatchi and Saatchi NEW YORK was named Agency of the Year, the Palm d’Or
(production company of the year) Smuggler, and the Grand Prix?

. After winning in the Cyber category earlier in the week, it went on to take the biggest prize for a single piece of work.

And there is a bit of a lesson in there for the photographic community. As the controversy keeps coming to the forefront on retouching images to the extreme, especially on the news front, this films’ message about real beauty should make us all think about the tools use and when to step away.
