On The Red Carpet: Inside The Photographers Camera Bag with Frazer Harrison, Part 1
Last weekend in LA, it was the super bowl of celebrity events: The Oscars. And that meant that Frazer Harrison of Getty Images was working his tail off. Plus he shot the Independent Spirit Awards, the indie Oscars, the day before.
Busy, busy ,busy.
But we were able to catch up with him after the madness ( although we taped him just before going to another premiere with Kate Beckinsale) and take a look at what gear he uses to get the job done.
With over 22 years in the business, Frazer is a total pro with enough tips and advice that you can’t miss. Or shouldn’t miss.
There was so much great stuff , that we have Part 1 AND Part 2.
Not only does he show you what’s in the bag, but why. And what works well, and what he has to make do with.
Thanks again, Frazer for your time.I know everyone out there will get something out of the share.
Cheers!

great vid. thanks for posting. Very informative! However this might be a rookie question…but i notice he keeps NO lens caps on any of his lenses!? Is there no time on the carpet to to remove caps when switching? I was always told, protect the lens front glass with what ever it takes. just curious. None the less….great video!
Good Spot. Yes if you have them use them. Mine are scattered about I really do need to pop them back on.
\’Hard to tell, but it looks like maybe there\’s a UV filter on there? Makes for a cheap lens cap that doesn\’t get lost & protects your glass.
I am Sandra and my company is Mom & Me Embroidery Bees. We have been making shootsac covers with personal logos on it for over a year now. If you want your logo put on a camera bag cover or a shootsac cover please email me a copy of your logo.
I can furnish references or photos of the logos we have done.
Our covers for a camera bag can be made any size and we furnish heat fusible Velcro for you to put on your camera bag. Then you can attach the logo cover to your camera bag using this strip. This allows you to make your logo any size and place it anywhere you want on your camera bag.
We have made numerous logo covers for photographers that own a shootsac. The shootsac covers are 13\” x 13\”. We have several different materials and can digitize the logos on them. Our best material is an ultra suede and we have a great quality of broadcloth. We have several colors available and in stock. These have a Velcro strip at the top that matches the strip on the shootsac.
We sell these covers for $35.00 which includes shipping and handing.
