Remember that Great Book YOU Shot The Cover For ?

If you don’t remember, check your files. And you chose the photo, too.

Maybe this will be a book you’ll keep for 50 years. The cover will be all yours.

OK, here’s how it will happen:

Years back there was a series of books called “Day in The Life of…….Australia
America, Canada, Spain and lots of different countries.

What happened was that in one 24 period, photographer journalists all over the specified country, covered life as they saw it . They shots were complied into one great book which gave you a portrait of that country though many eye. It all began in 1981.

The brains behind all of that Rick Smolan kept on going and shifted his interests to what was known as “cyberspace” in 1996. I think we call it daily life now.

But he’s back between the hardcovers. Along with his partner Jennifer Erwitt, they own a company called Against All Odds, which has produced this new book of photographs”
“America At Home”

And the best part?
They’ve invited you to take center stage with one of your photographs.
Yep, you can upload and design your own cover for the full photo book with your own image.
Once again this project includes 100 of pros and thousands of amateur photographers work shot over a weeks time exploring Americans in their natural habitat.

So why not become part of the project? Sure, the main book book is produced, but the cover is reserved for you. And you. And you who wasn’t sure if they had a right image.

We’re going to do it and we’ll show you the results. With Dads day coming, (proud of their homes) grads (leaving their homes) weddings (starting new homes) and anybody else you can think of, seems like a pretty cool different gift to check out.
Yep, this (on the right) is a sample cover I tried and made in about 10 minutes. Or less. I’m on my fifth sample. And you can email it to your “taste friends” for an opinion. ( ok, it’s breakfast at a local diner, not home. Just don’t cook much at home.Sill liked the image. I guess that’s why there are photo editors.)

I know- there’s is that little Ikea logo in the corner there.
No way to lose it. They are underwriting this one.
Not as bad as a NASCAR driver patch quilted with logos, but we’ve checked. It stays.

Dang, could be another good thing for a weekly giveaway. But you should check it out anyway, soon. Play with some images. there is even a “quality meter to make sure you’ll have a good looking cover.
Get on it before everyone else does.
