Book Recco – Just in time for graduation. In a strange way.

It’s that time of year again. HIgh School Graduation.
Remember? or are you getting the cap and gown ready?

Check out this book HIGH SCHOOL, by Jona Frank[photopress:high_school.jpg,full,centered]
Whatever your place in the time/space continuum, this collection will surely open up memories of those you knew or passed in the halls.

When I first saw the exhibit, the massive prints were hung at PhotoLA, and the faces staring back at me were a tweaked reality of the classic yearbook pictures.Portraits and all of the events in high school.

A darker view but a very revealing one. There is almost a sad acceptance of a life ending and a life beginning reflected in the faces. The transitional time is visually weighing on the faces of the subjects.

But if you ever wanted another take on the classic ” good times” of high school, this volume , with a forward by Gus Van Sant, deserves your time. OK, it may be a strange gift for a current graduate, perhaps there is enough teen angst.

At the current price , you shouldn’t pass this up.

Cheers!
